<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe \u2018Quantitative analysis of Microplastics along River Ganga\u2019, a new study by Toxics Link has found heavy concentration of microplastics in the Ganga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the range of plastic debris that is found in water bodies, microplastics are the most notorious because of their small size, on average microplastics are less than 5 mm in length or roughly equal to five pinheads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apart from humans, microplastics are harmful to marine species as well. More than 663 marine species are affected by marine debris and 11 percent of them are said to be related to microplastic ingestion, the study says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because microplastics are so small, they are ingested by marine habitants including fish, corals, planktons and sea mammals and are then carried further into the food chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the case of humans, most of the microplastics can be found in food, water and food containers and their ingestion can cause health problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe Supreme Court struck down certain provisions of the Constitution (97th Amendment) Act, 2011 in so far as it introduced clauses dealing with the working of cooperative societies working within a state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recognising that \u2018cooperative societies\u2019 came under Entry 32 of the State List in the Seventh Schedule, the Amendment proposed to create a framework for the functioning of cooperative societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It introduced Part IXB in the Constitution so that the concept of cooperative societies gains constitutional recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The idea was to empower Parliament to frame laws for cooperative societies that function across States (multi-State cooperative societies) and State legislatures to make laws for all other cooperative societies falling under their jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Amendment set out basic rules such as<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- a maximum of 21 directors in a society,<\/li>
- a fixed term of five years for elected members,<\/li>
- a six-month cap on the time limit for which a society\u2019s board of directors can be kept under supersession or suspension, and<\/li>
- reservation of one seat for the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes, and two seats for women on the board of every cooperative society, that is, every society that has members from these sections.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

The Rudreswara temple was constructed in 1213 AD during the reign of the Kakatiya Empire by RecharlaRudra, a general of Kakatiya king Ganapati Deva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The presiding deity here is RamalingeswaraSwamy. It is also knownas the Ramappa temple, after the sculptor who executed the work in the temple for 40 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The temple complexes of Kakatiyas have a distinct style, technology and decoration exhibiting the influence of the Kakatiyan sculptor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ramappa Temple is a manifestation of this andoften stands as a testimonial to the Kakatiyan creative genius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The temple stands on a 6 feet high star-shaped platform with walls, pillars and ceilings adorned with intricate carvings that attest to the unique skill of the Kakatiyan sculptors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from humans, microplastics are harmful to marine species as well. More than 663 marine species are affected by marine debris and 11 percent of them are said to be related to microplastic ingestion, the study says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because microplastics are so small, they are ingested by marine habitants including fish, corals, planktons and sea mammals and are then carried further into the food chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the case of humans, most of the microplastics can be found in food, water and food containers and their ingestion can cause health problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ganga heavily polluted with microplastics<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe \u2018Quantitative analysis of Microplastics along River Ganga\u2019, a new study by Toxics Link has found heavy concentration of microplastics in the Ganga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the range of plastic debris that is found in water bodies, microplastics are the most notorious because of their small size, on average microplastics are less than 5 mm in length or roughly equal to five pinheads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apart from humans, microplastics are harmful to marine species as well. More than 663 marine species are affected by marine debris and 11 percent of them are said to be related to microplastic ingestion, the study says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because microplastics are so small, they are ingested by marine habitants including fish, corals, planktons and sea mammals and are then carried further into the food chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the case of humans, most of the microplastics can be found in food, water and food containers and their ingestion can cause health problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
97th Amendment dealing with co-operative societies<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe Supreme Court struck down certain provisions of the Constitution (97th Amendment) Act, 2011 in so far as it introduced clauses dealing with the working of cooperative societies working within a state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recognising that \u2018cooperative societies\u2019 came under Entry 32 of the State List in the Seventh Schedule, the Amendment proposed to create a framework for the functioning of cooperative societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It introduced Part IXB in the Constitution so that the concept of cooperative societies gains constitutional recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The idea was to empower Parliament to frame laws for cooperative societies that function across States (multi-State cooperative societies) and State legislatures to make laws for all other cooperative societies falling under their jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Amendment set out basic rules such as<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- a maximum of 21 directors in a society,<\/li>
- a fixed term of five years for elected members,<\/li>

Ganga heavily polluted with microplastics<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe \u2018Quantitative analysis of Microplastics along River Ganga\u2019, a new study by Toxics Link has found heavy concentration of microplastics in the Ganga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the range of plastic debris that is found in water bodies, microplastics are the most notorious because of their small size, on average microplastics are less than 5 mm in length or roughly equal to five pinheads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apart from humans, microplastics are harmful to marine species as well. More than 663 marine species are affected by marine debris and 11 percent of them are said to be related to microplastic ingestion, the study says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because microplastics are so small, they are ingested by marine habitants including fish, corals, planktons and sea mammals and are then carried further into the food chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the case of humans, most of the microplastics can be found in food, water and food containers and their ingestion can cause health problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
97th Amendment dealing with co-operative societies<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe Supreme Court struck down certain provisions of the Constitution (97th Amendment) Act, 2011 in so far as it introduced clauses dealing with the working of cooperative societies working within a state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recognising that \u2018cooperative societies\u2019 came under Entry 32 of the State List in the Seventh Schedule, the Amendment proposed to create a framework for the functioning of cooperative societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It introduced Part IXB in the Constitution so that the concept of cooperative societies gains constitutional recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The idea was to empower Parliament to frame laws for cooperative societies that function across States (multi-State cooperative societies) and State legislatures to make laws for all other cooperative societies falling under their jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Amendment set out basic rules such as<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- a maximum of 21 directors in a society,<\/li>
- a fixed term of five years for elected members,<\/li>

To ensure clean tap water supply to children in schools, anganwadi centres and ashramshalas for their wellbeing and better health as envisioned by Prime Minister Modi, a campaign was launched to make provision of tap water supply in these institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the range of plastic debris that is found in water bodies, microplastics are the most notorious because of their small size, on average microplastics are less than 5 mm in length or roughly equal to five pinheads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apart from humans, microplastics are harmful to marine species as well. More than 663 marine species are affected by marine debris and 11 percent of them are said to be related to microplastic ingestion, the study says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because microplastics are so small, they are ingested by marine habitants including fish, corals, planktons and sea mammals and are then carried further into the food chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the case of humans, most of the microplastics can be found in food, water and food containers and their ingestion can cause health problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
97th Amendment dealing with co-operative societies<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe Supreme Court struck down certain provisions of the Constitution (97th Amendment) Act, 2011 in so far as it introduced clauses dealing with the working of cooperative societies working within a state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recognising that \u2018cooperative societies\u2019 came under Entry 32 of the State List in the Seventh Schedule, the Amendment proposed to create a framework for the functioning of cooperative societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It introduced Part IXB in the Constitution so that the concept of cooperative societies gains constitutional recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The idea was to empower Parliament to frame laws for cooperative societies that function across States (multi-State cooperative societies) and State legislatures to make laws for all other cooperative societies falling under their jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Amendment set out basic rules such as<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- a maximum of 21 directors in a society,<\/li>
- a fixed term of five years for elected members,<\/li>

The \u2018Mann Ki Baat\u2019 programme is broadcast through various channels of the All India Radio and Doordarshan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This programme is also broadcast by approximately 91 private satellite TV channels on Cable and DTH platforms across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to data shared by the ministry in its reply, the programme fetched Rs 1.16 crore as revenue in 2014-15, Rs 2.81 crore in 2015-16, over Rs 5.14 crore in 2016-17, and over Rs 10.64 crore in 2017-18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It generated Rs 7.47 crore revenue in 2018-19, Rs 2.56 crore in 2019-20, and Rs 1.02 crore in 2020-21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
India gets its 39th World Heritage Site<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nIndia\u2019s nomination of Rudreswara Temple, at Palampet, Mulugu district, near Warangal in the state of Telangana has been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The decision was taken at the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rudreswara temple was constructed in 1213 AD during the reign of the Kakatiya Empire by RecharlaRudra, a general of Kakatiya king Ganapati Deva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The presiding deity here is RamalingeswaraSwamy. It is also knownas the Ramappa temple, after the sculptor who executed the work in the temple for 40 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The temple complexes of Kakatiyas have a distinct style, technology and decoration exhibiting the influence of the Kakatiyan sculptor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ramappa Temple is a manifestation of this andoften stands as a testimonial to the Kakatiyan creative genius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tap Water Supply Reached 66% Schools & 60% Anganwadi Centres<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe tap water has been made in 6.85 lakh (66%) schools, 6.80 lakh (60%) anganwadi centres (AWCs)and 2.36 lakh (69%) Gram Panchayats and Community Healthcare Centres (CHCs) in villages across India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To ensure clean tap water supply to children in schools, anganwadi centres and ashramshalas for their wellbeing and better health as envisioned by Prime Minister Modi, a campaign was launched to make provision of tap water supply in these institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe \u2018Quantitative analysis of Microplastics along River Ganga\u2019, a new study by Toxics Link has found heavy concentration of microplastics in the Ganga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the range of plastic debris that is found in water bodies, microplastics are the most notorious because of their small size, on average microplastics are less than 5 mm in length or roughly equal to five pinheads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apart from humans, microplastics are harmful to marine species as well. More than 663 marine species are affected by marine debris and 11 percent of them are said to be related to microplastic ingestion, the study says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because microplastics are so small, they are ingested by marine habitants including fish, corals, planktons and sea mammals and are then carried further into the food chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the case of humans, most of the microplastics can be found in food, water and food containers and their ingestion can cause health problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
97th Amendment dealing with co-operative societies<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe Supreme Court struck down certain provisions of the Constitution (97th Amendment) Act, 2011 in so far as it introduced clauses dealing with the working of cooperative societies working within a state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recognising that \u2018cooperative societies\u2019 came under Entry 32 of the State List in the Seventh Schedule, the Amendment proposed to create a framework for the functioning of cooperative societies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It introduced Part IXB in the Constitution so that the concept of cooperative societies gains constitutional recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The idea was to empower Parliament to frame laws for cooperative societies that function across States (multi-State cooperative societies) and State legislatures to make laws for all other cooperative societies falling under their jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Amendment set out basic rules such as<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- a maximum of 21 directors in a society,<\/li>
- a fixed term of five years for elected members,<\/li>
- a six-month cap on the time limit for which a society\u2019s board of directors can be kept under supersession or suspension, and<\/li>
- reservation of one seat for the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes, and two seats for women on the board of every cooperative society, that is, every society that has members from these sections.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

PM Modi\u2019s \u2018Mann ki Baat\u2019 generated over Rs 30.80 crore revenue since 2014<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nPrime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s monthly radio programme \u2018Mann Ki Baat\u2019 has fetched over Rs 30.80 crore as revenue since it began in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The \u2018Mann Ki Baat\u2019 programme is broadcast through various channels of the All India Radio and Doordarshan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This programme is also broadcast by approximately 91 private satellite TV channels on Cable and DTH platforms across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to data shared by the ministry in its reply, the programme fetched Rs 1.16 crore as revenue in 2014-15, Rs 2.81 crore in 2015-16, over Rs 5.14 crore in 2016-17, and over Rs 10.64 crore in 2017-18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It generated Rs 7.47 crore revenue in 2018-19, Rs 2.56 crore in 2019-20, and Rs 1.02 crore in 2020-21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
India gets its 39th World Heritage Site<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nIndia\u2019s nomination of Rudreswara Temple, at Palampet, Mulugu district, near Warangal in the state of Telangana has been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The decision was taken at the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rudreswara temple was constructed in 1213 AD during the reign of the Kakatiya Empire by RecharlaRudra, a general of Kakatiya king Ganapati Deva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The presiding deity here is RamalingeswaraSwamy. It is also knownas the Ramappa temple, after the sculptor who executed the work in the temple for 40 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The temple complexes of Kakatiyas have a distinct style, technology and decoration exhibiting the influence of the Kakatiyan sculptor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ramappa Temple is a manifestation of this andoften stands as a testimonial to the Kakatiyan creative genius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The temple stands on a 6 feet high star-shaped platform with walls, pillars and ceilings adorned with intricate carvings that attest to the unique skill of the Kakatiyan sculptors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tap Water Supply Reached 66% Schools & 60% Anganwadi Centres<\/span><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe tap water has been made in 6.85 lakh (66%) schools, 6.80 lakh (60%) anganwadi centres (AWCs)and 2.36 lakh (69%) Gram Panchayats and Community Healthcare Centres (CHCs) in villages across India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To ensure clean tap water supply to children in schools, anganwadi centres and ashramshalas for their wellbeing and better health as envisioned by Prime Minister Modi, a campaign was launched to make provision of tap water supply in these institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Punjab, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, and UT of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, provision of clean tap water supply in all schools, ashramshalas and anganwadi centres have been made, despite Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown resulting into repeated disruptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once schools and ashramshalas open, safetap water to children will greatly contribute in their better health, improved sanitation and improved hygiene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
