The Prime Minister will also be having bilateral meetings\nwith leaders of other countries on the sidelines of the summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the MEA officials, prior to the G7 Summit, Modi\nwill hold meetings with President Macron and Prime Minister Edouard Philippe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his visit to France, he would address the Indian\ncommunity in Paris and also inaugurate the memorial for the Indian victims of\nthe Air India crashes at Nid D’Aigle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After his engagements in Paris on August 22-23, Modi will\nmake a state visit to the UAE on August 23-24 and then to Bahrain during August\n24-25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
India and France have been strategic partners since 1998 and\nshare a comprehensive, dynamic and multi-faceted relationship. The two\ncountries have strong cooperation in the fields of defense, maritime security,\nspace, cyber, counter-terrorism, and civil nuclear energy along with robust\ntrade and investment relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bilateral visit to France and the invitation to G7\nSummit are in keeping with the tradition of strong and close partnership and\nhigh-level political contacts between India and France, the MEA said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Group of Seven (G7) is a group consisting of Canada,\nFrance, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The\nEuropean Union is also represented at the G7 summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 45th G7 summit will be held on August 25\u201327, 2019, in\nBiarritz, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. In March 2014, the G7 declared that a\nmeaningful discussion was currently not possible with Russia in the context of\nthe G8.\n\nThe G7 is a collective of seven of the world’s\nmost industrialized and developed economies.
