The Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), was set up on 28 August 1970 in furtherance of the objective of the Government of India for the modernization of police forces. It has evolved as a multifaceted, consultancy organization. At present it has 4 divisions \u2013 Research, Development, Training and Correctional Administration.
Highlights:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2666<\/strong> The Bureau of Police Research and Development was set up to fulfil three key aims:
\u2666 To take an active and direct interest in the issues
\u2666 To promote a rapid and systematic study of the police problems
\u2666 To practice science and technology in the methods and techniques used by police
\u2666 BPR&D was formed in 1970 and had replaced the Police Research and Advisory Council, which was once formed in 1966
\u2666 The BPR&D comes under the administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs
\u2666 The 4 divisions of the Bureau of Police Research and Development are:

\u2666 Development Division
