In his opening remarks during the Dialogue in New Delhi, Dr. Jaishankar said both the countries are meeting at a very crucial time when, along with a pandemic, the geopolitical environment is in rapid flux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>India and Australia<\/strong>&nbsp;are undertaking their&nbsp;<strong>first-ever 2+2 ministerial dialogue<\/strong>&nbsp;at the Hyderabad House in&nbsp;<strong>New Delhi<\/strong>&nbsp;on September 11, 2021.<\/li><li>The high-level foreign and defence ministerial level dialogue will further ramp up the overall defence and strategic cooperation between the two countries, including in the Indo-Pacific cooperation amid China\u2019s increasing military assertiveness in the region.<\/li><li>Indian delegation at inaugural \u2018two-plus-two\u2019 talks is being led by&nbsp;<strong>External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Defence Minister Rajnath Singh<\/strong>&nbsp;with their Australian counterparts<strong>&nbsp;Marise Payne and Peter Dutton,<\/strong>&nbsp;respectively..<\/li><li>India have 2-2 Ministerial level meetings framework with very few countries, including the USA and Japan.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar today termed India-Australia 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue as productive.
