Tata Steel on Tuesday commissioned a 5-tonne per day (TPD) carbon capture plant at its Jamshedpur Works, making it the country’s first steel company to adopt such a carbon capture technology that extracts CO2 directly from the blast furnace gas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Plant has the capability to capture 5 tonnes of CO2 per day (5-tonne per day (TPD)). The plant will play an important role in resuing the captured CO2 on-site to promote a circular carbon economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the last year 2020, Tata Steel partnered with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). it also aims to build a strong ecosystem in the country for meeting the decarbonization commitments under the Paris Agreement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
