Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nBilateral defence relations between India and Thailand have\ngained momentum consequent to India\u2019s \u2018\u2019Look\/ Act East Policy\u2019 along with\noverall improvement in relations at political, economic and cultural levels.\nJoint Working Group on Security Cooperation, initiated in May 2003, had\nnominated Military Cooperation as one of the seven primary areas of focus to\nstrengthen cooperation. This was re-enforced in the joint statement issued\nduring Thai Prime Minister\u2019s official visit to India in Jan 2012. India and\nThailand have commemorated the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic\nrelations in 2017. Such visits and cooperation will contribute, in the medium\nand long term, towards India being a natural partner of Thailand for regional\ncollaborative security initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The participation of the Indian Chairman COSC would provide\nfurther impetus towards increasing defence cooperation with Thailand and pave\nthe way for greater interaction and cooperation in future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
