RBI to conduct the open market purchase of Government Securities under GSAP 2.0<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to conduct an open market purchase of government securities under the G-sec Acquisition Programme (G-SAP 2.0) for an aggregate amount of Rs15, 000cr on 23, September 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simultaneously, RBI will also sell Government Securities under Open Market Operations (OMO) for an aggregate amount of 15,000 crore rupees on the same day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RBI has asked eligible participants to submit their bids\/offers in electronic format on the Reserve Bank of India Core Banking Solution (E-Kuber) system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bangladesh government will set up an e-commerce regulatory body to monitor the sector properly. Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said that the government will enact a detailed e-commerce law also to regulate this sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The step has been taken after a major e-commerce company of Bangladesh allegedly cheated consumers worth hundreds of crores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pension regulator PFRDA has kickstarted a campaign under \u2018Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav\u2019 to promote pension and retirement planning. The pension regulator on Thursday said it will celebrate on October 1, 2021, as the National Pension System (NPS) Diwas for a carefree \u2018azad\u2019 retirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority is promoting the campaign across its social media platforms. This campaign has been started by PFRDA under the \u2018Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav\u2019 to promote pension and retirement planning for a carefree \u2018azad\u2019 retirement. PFRDA is promoting this campaign on its social media platforms with #npsdiwas. PFRDA is the regulatory body for NPS.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Finance Ministry in a release said, \u201cThe pension regulator aims to encourage every citizen to plan towards creating a financial cushion to ensure for oneself a financially sound future after retirement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Government sets up India Debt Resolution Company Ltd (IDRCL) for managing bad loans<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The government has set up the India Debt Resolution Company Ltd (IDRCL), an asset management company (AMC) that will work in tandem with the National Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd (NARCL) to clean up bad loans, according to documents available with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bank of Baroda (BoB), Punjab National Bank (PNB), Bank of India (BoI), Bank of Maharashtra, SBI, Union Bank of India, Canara Bank, Indian Bank, and IDBI Bank are the shareholders of IDRCL. IDRCL is a service company\/operational entity which will manage the asset and engage market professionals and turnaround experts. Public Sector Banks (PSBs)<\/strong> and Public FIs will hold a maximum of 49%<\/strong> stake while the remaining stake will be with private-sector lenders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It must be noted that last week, the government had cleared a guarantee of Rs. 30,600 crore for security receipts issued by NARCL.<\/strong>, which will be buying Rs 2 lakh crore non-performing loans from banks. In the first phase, Rs 90,000 crore will come to the NARCL. These NPAs will have 100 percent provisions in the books of the banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former Delhi Police commissioner Yudhbir Singh Dadwal died on Wednesday night at his Chattarpur home due to age-related illnesses, said police officials Thursday. He was 70.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dadwal, a 1974 batch IPS officer, Dadwal had joined the Delhi Police as an additional deputy commissioner. He became the Delhi Police commissioner in 2007 and was transferred to Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) as its Director General in 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After retirement, he was appointed as the Director-General of the Central Paramilitary Force, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in November 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, Dadwal was appointed as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
