He mobilized world leaders to commit an additional\u00a0$1.1 trillion\u00a0to restore credit, growth, and jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The former UK PM had on (September 19) said \u201cthe failure of Boris Johnson, Joe Biden, and European Union leaders to agree on a plan to distribute the spare doses meant the world was facing a vaccine waste disaster,\u201d\u00a0<em>The Guardian<\/em>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Brown has tirelessly called on wealthy nations as well as the private sector to ensure the equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, advocating for a concerted global effort \u2014 rooted in science and sound economics \u2013 to save lives, end the pandemic and restore livelihoods the world over.
