Union Sports Minister  Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting dedicated to the nation High Power Transmitters of Doordarshan and All India Radio at Hamboting La near Kargil in Ladakh. The 10 KW transmitters are the highest altitude TV and Radio transmitters in the country, located at the height of 4054 metres (about 13,300 ft) above the mean sea level. The transmitters at Leh are at an altitude of 3501 metres (about 11,450 ft).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lok Sabha Speaker, Shri Om Birla, delivered a keynote address at the programme \u201cTourism for Inclusive Growth\u201d organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, today, to mark World Tourism Day, 2021. Union Minister of Tourism, Culture & DoNER Shri G. Naga Cucumber from Nagaland<\/strong> has officially been certified by India\u2019s Registrar of Geographical Indications (GI) <\/strong>as an agricultural good unique to the state, on September 14, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nagaland\u2019s \u201csweet cucumber\u201d was awarded a geographical identification (GI) tag as an agricultural product under provisions of The Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naga cucumber is recognised for its sweetness and unique green colour. It is rich in potassium and has low calories. The cucumber is not the first product from the small state to receive a vaunted GI tag. Both the regional variants of tree tomato (tamarillo) and the famed Naga king chilli are also GI tagged. It is the third agricultural product and fourth overall to be granted the GI tag from Nagaland. The Naga cucumber is mostly cultivated in the Mon, Mokokchung, Peren and Wokha districts of the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ICRA revise the GDP growth of India to 9.00% in FY 2022<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rating agency Icra on Monday revised up its 2021-22 real GDP growth estimate for India to 9 percent from the earlier 8.5 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A ramp-up in COVID-19 vaccination, healthy advance estimates of Kharif (summer) crop, and faster government spending were the factors that led to the revision, the agency said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier on Sunday, reports had stated that Moeen had already informed captain Joe Root and head coach Chris Silverwood of his decision to call time on his Test career, and a day later, the 34-year-old made the official announcement. The 34-year-old Ali made his debut in Test cricket in 2014 and represented England\u00a0in 64 Test matches.
