This joint initiative with Microsoft India is an extension of the Government\u2019s ongoing programs to support the youth from rural and semi-urban areas. It is a digital skills programme to increase the employability of youth by imparting them with digital skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DigiSaksham will be implemented in the field by Aga Khan Rural Support Programme India (AKRSP-I). <\/strong>It aims to benefit more than 3 lakh youths<\/strong> in the first year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legal Initiative for Forest and Environment (LIFE), a Delhi-based environmental law advocacy group, received the 2021 Right Livelihood Award, Sweden\u2019s alternative to the Nobel Prize, for its efforts to protect the environment in India through creative use of law and legal processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Award was established in 1980 by German-Swedish philanthropist Jakob von Uexkull to \u201chonour and support those who offer a practical and exemplary contribution in such fields as environmental protection, human rights, sustainable development, health, education, which are not included in Nobel Prize list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LIFE has been selected for the award for its \u201cgrassroots approach of empowering vulnerable communities to protect their livelihoods and claim their right to a clean environment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Right Livelihood Award comes with a cash prize of 1 million Swedish crowns ($115,000) and long-term support to highlight and expand Laureates\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
