Age Relaxation: <\/strong>The upper age limit is relaxable as mentioned below

1. By 5 years for SC\/ST candidates i.e. up to 43 years.
2. By 3 years for OBC\/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years.

Educational Qualification:<\/strong>

1. B.E or equivalent degree regular Full-Time course in Civil Engineering obtained from any institute approved by the AICTE and recognized by the Government.
2. Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) Official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese\/Bengali\/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

Nationality:\u00a0<\/strong>Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Domicile:<\/strong>\u00a0The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam. For proof of permanent residence, the candidate or his\/her parents must be a voter of Assam. The voter ID card of the candidate or his\/her parents will be treated as proof of permanent residence.<\/p>\n\n\n

\n\t\t\tSelection Process of Water Resources Department Recruitment<\/strong>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

Screening\/ Shortlisting:\u00a0<\/strong>Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit as per academic performance.

Methodology of recruitment:<\/strong>\u00a0Due to the current pandemic situation, a contact-less process of selection purely based on academic performance from HSLC to Degree for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) and HSLC to Diploma for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) will be followed.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. HSLC or equivalent: 10%<\/li>
  2. HSSLC or equivalent: 20%<\/li>
  3. Degree in Civil Engineering: 70%<\/li>
  4. In case of the candidates who have completed the degree in Civil Engineering through lateral entry after completing Diploma in Civil Engineering their 20% weightage shall be calculated on the basis of marks\/percentage obtained in Diploma and not on the basis of marks obtained in HSSLC or equivalent, irrespective of whether they have passed HSSLC or equivalent examination or not.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Name of post: Junior Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Methodology:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. HSLC or equivalent: 20%<\/li>
    2. Diploma in Civil Engineering: 80%
