JIMEX series of exercises commenced in January 2012 with a special focus on maritime security cooperation. The&nbsp;<strong>last edition of JIMEX was conducted in September 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JIMEX-21 aims to develop a common understanding of operational procedures and enhance inter-operability through the conduct of a multitude of advanced exercises, across the entire spectrum of maritime operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Indian Navy will be represented by indigenously built Guided Missile Stealth Destroyer Kochi and Guided Missile Frigate Teg, P8I Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft, integral helicopters, and MiG 29K fighter aircraft<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0Naval cooperation between India and Japan has increased in scope and complexity over years. The Nobel Prize for Physics has been awarded to scientists from Japan, Germany, and Italy. Scientists Syukuro Manabe, Klaus Hasselmann, and Giorgio Parisi won the 2021 Nobel Prize for Physics for their \u201cgroundbreaking contributions to our understanding of complex physical systems\u201d. Three Laureates shares the 2021 award for groundbreaking contributions and studies of chaotic and apparently random phenomena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While one half of the award has been given jointly to<strong>\u00a0US-based Syukuro Manabe and Klaus Hasselmann of Germany<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cfor the physical modelling of Earth\u2019s climate, quantifying variability and reliably predicting global warming\u201d. The Raksha Mantri gave away awards to 40 winners \u2013 22 in the Individual category and 18 in the Startup category. He also launched \u2018Dare to Dream 3.0\u2019 to promote innovators &amp; startups and provide a platform for the young ignited minds in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dare to Dream is a pan-India contest by DRDO to promote Indian academicians, individuals, innovators, and startups and provide a platform for the young ignited minds in the country, to develop emerging defence and aerospace technologies\/systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winners get technical and financial support from DRDO for realisation of their ideas under the Technology Development Fund (TDF) scheme. Besides this, the minister also gave away&nbsp;<strong>DRDO Young Scientists awards for the year 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award was conferred upon&nbsp;<strong>sixteen DRDO scientists<\/strong>,&nbsp;under the age of 35 years, for their outstanding contribution in areas of their expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this occasion, three products\/systems indigenously developed by DRDO were also handed over to the Armed Forces. It is a state-of-the-art module with high bandwidth, low latency, channel bonding, easy networking and will cater to 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0generation aircraft development programmes.<\/li><li><strong>Sonar Performance Modelling System<\/strong>: Developed for the Indian Navy, the system was handed over to Vice Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Satish Namdeo Ghormade.
