The Minister of\nState for Culture & Tourism (Independent Charge),Shri Prahlad Singh Patel\nlaunched an integrated NOC online Application Processing System for National\nMonuments Authority (NMA) for 517 local bodies of six states in New Delhi. This\nwill help in online processing of applications requesting NOC for construction\nrelated work in prohibited and regulated area of ASI protected monuments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking on the\noccasion, the Union Culture Minister said that with increase of urbanization,\ndevelopment, growth and increasing population pressure, there is growing\npressure on land including the land around centrally protected monuments. As\nthis often affects the monument\/site adversely it is important that such growth\naround the centrally protected monuments is properly regulated, balancing the\nneeds of individuals and growth and development on the one hand and the requirements\nof preservation and protection of these monuments on the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Minister said that this website will help common people\nsubstantially in line with the vision of Prime minister, Shri Narendra Modi\nregarding Digital India &Ease of Doing Business. Many times people don\u2019t\nknow about the law & they become the victim,this is a great step of NMA\nandour focus is to bring awareness amongst common man, the Minister added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shri Patel said that from today Six New States will be part of this\nIntegrated Online Application Portal with Urban Local Bodies Count. He\nexpressed his gratitude towards six participating States and hoped that other\nstates will also be part of this soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier this system was available only for five urban local bodies of\nDelhi and one urban local body of Mumbai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Portal has integration with the Smart \u2018Smarac\u2019 Mobile App of Indian\nSpace Research Organization (ISRO), through which the applicant traverses his\nplot and the geo coordinates of his plot along with the images get uploaded\ninto the NIC portal along with the proximity and the approval status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
National Monuments Authority (NMA) under the Ministry of Culture, Govt.\nof India has been setup as per provisions of \u201cThe Ancient Monuments and\nArchaeological Sites and Remains AMASR (Amendment and Validation) Act, 2010\u201d.\nIn order to automate the process of grant of NO Objection Certificate(NOC) for\nconstruction related work in the prohibited and regulated area, NMA had decided\nto Design, Develop and Implement a web enabled Software (S\/w) application named\nNOC online Application Processing System (NOAPS) and launched it in the public\ndomain over the URL: http:\/\/nmanoc.nic.in\/<\/strong> . With the objective of\nintroducing transparency, \u201cNOAPS Non Single<\/strong> window system\u201d was launched on 29th September\n2015. Further, \u201cNOAPS Single<\/strong> window system\u201d was officially launched on Ist May\n2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The applicant needs to fill up a single form which is being sent to the\nconcerned agencies by the Urban Local Body, from whom No Objection Certificate\n(NOC) is required.
