Govt. of India has accorded\u00a0\u2018Maharatna\u2019 status to the state-owned Power Finance Corporation Ltd (PFC) on October 12, 2021, thus giving PFC greater operational and financial autonomy. In order to this effect was issued by the Department of Public Enterprises, under the Ministry of Finance.
