The rebellion was initiated in 1967.<\/li><li>Started in West Bengal, the movement has spead across the Eastern India, in less developed areas of states such as Chhattishgarh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.<\/li><li>The term Nexalism derives its name from the village Naxalbari of West Bengal.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Greyhounds:<\/strong> It was raised in 1989 as an elite anti-naxal force.<\/li><li><strong>Operation Green Hunt:<\/strong> It was started in 2009-10 and massive deployment of security forces was done in the naxal affected areas.<\/li><li><strong>LWE Mobile Tower Project: <\/strong>To improve mobile conectivity in the LWE areas, the Government in 2014, approved installation of Mobile tower in LWE affected States.<\/li><li><strong>Aspirational Districts Programme:<\/strong> Launched in 2018, it aims to rapidly transform the district that have relatively lesser progress in key social areas.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The government needs to ensure two things: Security of the peace-loving people and the development of the Naxalism-affected regions.<\/li><li>Local Police knows the language and topography of a regions; it can fight naxalism better then the armed force.<\/li><li>State government need to understand that naxalism is their problem also and only they can tackle it effectively.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NAXALISM Topic: Internet Security, Left-wing extremism The deaths of over 20 paramilitary personnel in an encounter with the Maoists in the Tarrem area near Chhattishgarh&#8217;s Sukma district once again put the spotlight on the long-running conflict in this remote tribal region.
