Industries from across the country are invited for this vendor meet to encourage their participation in Indian Railways supply chain development. No participation fee for attending the meet has been kept to ensure wider participation. In line with Government of India\u2019s \u2018Make in India\u2019 programme, RDSO through such meets and other endeavors continues to reach out to Indian industry and encourage them to be the active partners in nation building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meet, special focus will be on those RDSO controlled items which have less than three RDSO approved vendors. This list has been put on RDSO website <strong><em>www.rdso.indianrailways.gov.in.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the meet, RDSO shall make presentation about\n\u201cEnhancement for ease of doing business\u201d. The meet shall make available a\nplatform for direct one-to-one interaction and discussions of Industry with\nRDSO. Live display of selected RDSO items shall be kept at the meeting venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">For wider proliferation of information about this Vendor meet, following\nactions have been taken:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>i) Intimation has been sent to Industrial bodies, such as\nFICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM, IEEMA for spreading awareness and inviting participation\nof Industries in the Meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ii) GMs and PCMMs of Zonal Railways and PUs have been\nrequested to bring it to the notice of prospective vendors and encourage their\nparticipation. Standees and posters have been displayed in Zonal Railways and\nDivision\u2019s offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It may be worthwhile to mention that RDSO has already\ninitiated some measures to encourage vendors to register themselves for RDSO\ncontrolled items with less than three sources. For example, registration\ncharges for items with less than three sources has been reduced from Rs.\n1,50,000\/- to Rs. 10,000\/- for micro\/small enterprises and from Rs. 2,50,000\/-\nto Rs. 50,000\/- for others.
