Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nSpeaking on the occasion the Minister said that NCERT is one\nof the unique educational and research institutes in the world. It develops\ncurriculum, syllabus and teaching-learning materials for school students and\nteachers in the country. He said that Indian Education System includes 26 crore\nstudents, 90 lakh teachers and 15 lakh schools which makes it very huge and\nNCERT has been addressing the needs of this huge system with its innovative\ncurricular material and teacher education courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Minister hope after two years we will celebrate 61st\nfoundation day of NCERT in the new auditorium. Minister further added that we\nhave to develop interest in students for research based education. Also we need\nto focus on job based research oriented technical and professional education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Appreciating the Council\u2019s efforts, he highlighted the training programmes being conducted by NCERT for the 42 lakh teachers under the NISHTHA endeavour. While releasing the books on this occasion, he appreciated the efforts of NCERT for developing \u2018Veergatha\u2019, \u2018Mazedar hai Ganit\u2019 and tactile book of \u2018Teaching-Learning of Economics\u2019. He further stated that the valour of our soldiers must reach every child to instil the spirit of patriotism. Also, he praised Mazedar hai Ganit\u2019 for making mathematics interesting and fun for children. Tactile book \u2018Teaching-Learning of Economics\u2019 will be very useful for the divyang students. He encouraged NCERT for taking forward the digitisation of education through its programmes of \u2018Swayam\u2019 and \u2018SwayamPrabha\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also released the results of the National Talent Search\nExamination Scheme scholarship for the year 2018-19. On this occasion, NCERT\nhad showcased its activities on different themes of research, development,\ntraining and extension. The Minister visited these stalls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
