Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nIndia is the honoured country at the 84th TIF. New India\nPavilion was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, Mr.\nKyriakos Mitsotakis and the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry,\nHardeep Singh Puri on 7th September 2019. The Minister of State for Commerce\nand Industry held a press interaction during the trade fair and highlighted the\nprospects for the development of Indian business in Greece and the wider region\nof Southeast Europe to strengthen bilateral trade relations between the two\ncountries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hardeep Singh Purisaid that India’s economy is expected to\nreach USD 5 trillion in 2025 and it will be among the largest in the world. He\nsaidthatGreece, which is a member of the EU, Eurozone, and International\nOrganizations,can become a European country-hub for Indian companies in key\nsectorslike technology, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, agricultural production and\nprocessing, energy, shipping, tourism, mining, food and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Minister of State for Commerce and Industry said that\nIndia today is known for its advancement in the field of engineering,\ntechnology, space programmes and latest advancement in medical surgeries and\ntreatment apart from its rich heritage, culture, textiles, Ayurveda, Yoga and\nits varied cuisines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hardeep Singh Purisaid that Indiawelcomes investments and is\nalready playing a leading role in the global developments of technology,\ninnovation and science. India has reached the 52nd place in the Global\nInnovation Index 2019. A culture of innovation is now at centrestage and India\nis engaging actively with international organizations like the World\nIntellectual Property Organization. The Government of India is working towards\ntaking the country into the top 25 innovative economies soon, the MoS added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The TIF September 2019 fair was attended by officials of\nIndian Government from the Ministries of Commerce and Industry, Electronics\n& Information Technology, and Tourism, and officers of Embassy of India in\nGreece, International Trade Promotion Organisation, India Brand Equity\nFoundationand Confederation of Indian Industry as well as prominent Indian\nentrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the TIF Fair a large number of exhibitorsparticipated\nwhich included Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), National Thermal\nPower Corporation (NTPC) Agricultural Produce Export Development Authority\n(APEDA), companies from the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector\nand tiles and ceramics industry and handicrafts from Rajasthan, Moradabad and\nJammu & Kashmir.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
