Usha Sharma launched the Audio Guide facility Audio Odigos for 12 sites of India(including Iconic Sites). An MoU for Gol Gumbad, Delhi with Government of Delhi and Resbird Technologies was also exchanged for the development of Tourism Amenities during the programmeat Paryatan Parv New Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking on the occasion Shri Yogendra Tripathi said that\nthis is the 3rd edition of Paryatan Parv and we are getting good response from\ngeneral public. We are expecting more than 1 lakh footfalls during the weekend,\nhe added. He also said that in the line of vision of Prime Minister we are not\nusing single use plastic in Paryatan Parv arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While briefing the media , the Secretary said that today\n26th MoU under the \u2018Adopt a Heritage, Apni Dharohar Apni Pehchan\u2019 scheme of\nMinistry of Tourism has been exchanged for development of Tourism Amenities.\nThe project aims to develop synergy amongst all stakeholders and involves\nactive participation of local communities \/ players to promote \u2018responsible\ntourism\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He further said that the response to the project has been\nvery encouraging as agencies that have come forward, include not only public\nand private industry\/ individuals but also schools and law firms. Earlier, 42\nLetters of Intent have been issued to 38 agencies for 106 sites and 25\nMemorandum of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with 12 agencies for 23\nsites and two technological interventions under the project across India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shri Yogendra Tripathi said that Ministry of Tourism\u2019s\nscheme \u201cAdopt a Heritage: Apni Dharohar, Apni Pehchaan\u201d, is a collaborative\neffort between the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Culture and Archaeological\nSurvey of India (ASI) and State Governments \/ UT Administrations. It aims at\ninvolving public sector companies, private sector companies and corporate\ncitizens\/individuals to take up the responsibility for making our heritage and\ntourism more sustainable through development, operation and maintenance of\nworld-class tourist infrastructure and amenities at ASI\/ State heritage sites\nand other important tourist sites in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The secretary also said that today we have launched Audio\nGuide: Audio Odigos, for the benefit of the tourists. Audio guide odigo offers\nGovernment of India verified content, with visuals &amp; voice over support.\nWith Audio Odigos, tourists will now enjoy a more enriching experience and take\nback historical insights of the Indian culture and heritage. The Audio Odigos\napp contains an inbuilt map of the site for a smooth navigation during the\ntour. Listeners will be offered various versions of history like Synopsis,\nDetailed History and Podcasts. The audio can be chosen in their preferred\nlanguage &amp; version of the history. Audio Odigos is now available for\ndownload on all Android and iOS supported mobile phones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DG, Tourism Smt. Meenakshi Sharma briefed the mdia that\nAudio Guide facility Audio Odigos can be used in 12 sites that includes Amer\nFort, Rajasthan, Chandni Chowk, Red Fort, Purana Quila, Humayun\u2019s tomb, Delhi,\nFatehpur Sikri, Taj Mahal, Uttar Pradesh, Somnath and Dholavira, Gujarat,\nKhajuraho, Madhya pradesh, Mahabalipuram, Tamilnadu and Mahabodhi Temple,\nBihar.
