The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has been ranked as best in the country by the latest Asian University Ranking 2022 released by Quacquarelli Symonds Rankings. The National University of Singapore has come up as Asia\u2019s best university for the 4th consecutive year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

China\u2019s Peking University\u00a0at 2nd position and\u00a0Nanyang Technological University in Singapore,\u00a0and the\u00a0University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong\u00a0at 3rd. The top three Indian universities to feature on the Asia Rankings are\u00a0IIT Bombay (42), IIT Delhi (45),\u00a0and\u00a0IIT Madras (54).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Global giants like Amazon and Apple in addition to Mahindra Group and Dalmia Cement (Bharat) from India have joined as founding members of the \u2018First Movers Coalition\u2019 to work in direction of driving demand for zero-carbon applied sciences, the World Economic Forum has mentioned. The Coalition has been launched on the COP26 Summit being held in Glasgow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Britain\u2019s health regulators, Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have approved the world\u2019s first pill to treat cases of symptomatic COVID-19. Britain became the first country in the world to approve a potentially game-changing COVID-19 antiviral pill jointly developed by U.S.-based Merck & Co Inc (MRK.N) and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics, in a boost to the fight against the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0antiviral Lagevrio (molnupiravir)\u00a0has been found to be safe and effective at reducing the risk of hospitalization and death in people with mild to moderate COVID-19. Molnupiravir\u00a0was originally created to treat flu and could go on to be prescribed twice a day diagnosed with COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson have launched a \u2018green grids\u2019 initiative\u2014the One Sun One World One Grid (OSOWOG) project\u2014on the sidelines of the COP26 summit during the World Leaders\u2019 Summit of COP26 on November 02, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project aims to connect energy grids across borders to facilitate a faster transition to the use of renewable energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
