Funded under the Central Government&#8217;s CAMPA <strong>(Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority) <\/strong>scheme, the conservatory was developed in three years by the research wing of Uttarakhand Forest Department, Chief Conservator of Forest (research) Sanjiv Chaturvedi said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;\u201c<strong>Germplasm Conservation Centre\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;has been built by the research wing of the Uttarakhand Forest Department over an area of 2 acres in three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around 90 different grass species have been demonstrated to display their important scientific, ecological, medicinal and cultural information.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>India&#8217;s first \u2018grass conservatory\u2019 spread over an area of two acres was inaugurated on November 14, 2021 at Ranikhet in Almora district.
