The new centres are the Centre for Nanotechnology (CNT) and the Centre for Indian Knowledge System (CIKS). The Minister also launched&nbsp;two hostels at the campus. Along with Union Education Minister, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu and Member of Parliament Queen Oja marked their presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CNT will work towards meeting future challenges and augmenting academic partnerships with industry in Nanotechnology. The Centre for Indian Knowledge System (CIKS) will focus on preserving, documenting and sustaining the knowledge that is unique to India, IIT Guwahati said. The top priorities include Indian classical music, Yoga, Sanskrit, traditional medicines, temple architecture, ceramic tradition and special agricultural practices of North-East India, among other things. The previous record for an orchestra was made by Russia when 8,097 musicians played together in St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/download-50.jpg\" alt=\"EPFO gets approval to park 5% of annual deposits in InvITs and other alternative funds\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Employees\u2019 Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), its the meeting of its Central Board of Trustees (CBT), has approved measures to invest up to 5 % of its annual deposits in infrastructure investment trusts (InvITs) and other alternative funds. This investment will offer diversification to the EPFO\u2019s investment basket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CBT empowered Finance Investment and Audit Committee (FIAC) to decide upon the investment options, on a case-to-case basis, for investment in asset classes included in the Pattern of Investment notified by the Centre.\u00a0However, the board has also decided to focus only on government-backed alternatives, which are category one funds like public sector InvITs and bonds. The AIFs are regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/download-51.jpg\" alt=\"SBI Research\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>SBI Research has revised upwards India\u2019s GDP growth projection to a range of 9.3%-9.6% for FY 22 (2021-22) as the country recorded only an 11% increase in Covid cases during July-September (Q3) 2021 period, second-lowest among the top 15 most affected countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this was estimated in the range of 8.5%-9%.
