The 49th International Emmy Awards ceremony<\/strong> took place on November 22, 2021 at Casa Cipriani in New York City, recognizing excellence in television programs produced and aired originally outside the U.S., and non-English language US primetime program between the dates of January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From India, Nawazuddin Siddiqui<\/strong> was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in Serious Men, <\/em>Sushmita Sen-led Aarya<\/em><\/strong> was nominated for<\/em> Best Drama and comedian Vir Das<\/strong> was nominated for Best Comedy.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, India could not register a win in any of the above categories. Till date the only Indian show to bag an Emmy is Delhi Crime<\/em> which won Best Drama in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
