Assam government will confer its highest civilian award \u2018Assam Baibhav\u2019 on Tata Trusts’ chairman Ratan Tata for his contribution towards building cancer treatment facilities in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that the state government has decided to confer Assam Baibhav, Assam Saurav and Assam Gaurav Awards, 2021 to 19 personalities and the award ceremony will be held on January 24, 2022. Earlier known as \u2018Assam Ratna\u2019, the award was renamed as \u2018Assam Baibhav\u2019 by the Sarma-led government in September this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
