The Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (Merger of\nUnion Territories) Bill, 2019 proposes to merge the two union territories of\nDadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu for better utilization of manpower,\nboost administrative efficiency, reduce expenditure and enable better\nmonitoring and implementation of schemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The name of the new Union Territory, which comes into\nexistence, will be the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and\nDiu. It will fall under the jurisdiction of the Bombay High Court. The bill\nproposes to merge the Dadra and Nagar Haveli Union Territory with Daman and Diu\nUnion Territory.
