The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), the\nstate-government run bus service for Bengaluru and its periphery has launched\nits new official mobile app titled \u2018My BMTC\u2019. \nThe app, which is currently in its beta stage, has been developed by\nBengaluru school student Nihar Thakkar, who had previously made a similar app. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The app made by Nihar previously relied on public\ninformation put out by the BMTC, and was being used more than BMTC\u2019s previous\nofficial app, which had no dynamic features. Nihar\u2019s app was shut down in July\n2019 after being operational for two years. The app was shut down after the\nBMTC stopped sharing its data publicly over concerns of misuse of data by taxi\naggregators.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
