The Ministry of External Affairs has announced that it is to\nset up a new division on New and Emerging Strategic Technologies (NEST). It was\nannounced by the Foreign Minister S Jalshankar. The development comes as the\ngovernment has allowed all telecom equipment makers, including Chinese Huawei,\nto participate in the 5G trials. NEST is one of the many specialised divisions\ncreated in recent years to deal with emerging challenges and scenario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEST will also help in assessing the foreign policy and international legal implication of emerging technology and technology-based resources.
