The launch of the\ncommunication satellite will be ISRO\u2019s first satellite launch of the year 2020.\nThe satellite with an approximate weight of 3357 kg will have a mission life of\nmore than 15 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Daily Current\nAffairs Quiz 2020<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The communication satellite will be used to support VSAT\nnetworks, DTH television services, digital satellite news gathering, DTH\ntelevision services, teleport services, television uplinking, cellular backhaul\nconnectivity and other such applications.
