Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared to mark January 16<\/strong> as \u2018National Start-up Day\u2019.<\/strong> Narendra Modi<\/strong> told a virtual gathering of over 150 entrepreneurs on Saturday as he termed startups<\/strong> as the \u201c backbone \u201c of new India and the engine that will power the nation\u2019s economic growth in the run up to the 100 th<\/sup> year of Independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement was made by PM Modi on January 15, 2022, via video conferencing during a week-long event \u201cCelebrating Innovation Ecosystem\u201d as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
