Not a single note has been printed in the last financial year. According\nto the RBI report, the share of Rs 2,000 notes in value term was 50.2 per cent\nin 2016\/17, which later fell to 31.2 per cent in 2018\/19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Daily Current\nAffairs Quiz 2020<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The counterfeit notes of \u20b9500 (new design) increased by 121%\nto 21,865 pieces during 2018-19. For Rs. 2,000 notes, it is nearly 22% increase\nin the detection of counterfeit at 21,847 pieces.
