The National Disaster Response Force <\/strong>(NDRF) annually celebrates the NDRF Raising Day on 19th January to mark its formation in 2006. The year 2022 marks the celebration of 17th NDRF Raising Day. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) came into existence on 19th January 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NDRF is an Indian\u00a0specialized force under the\u00a0National Disaster Management Authority<\/strong>,\u00a0constituted under the\u00a0Disaster Management Act, 2005<\/strong>, to carry out special responses in situation of threatening disaster. There are\u00a012 NDRF battalions\u00a0located in different parts of the country and comprise as many as 13,000 NDRF personnel who work to build a safer country. Mansukh Mandaviya<\/strong>, Union Health Minister, celebrated the one-year anniversary of India\u2019s immunization drive on January 16, 2022, by launching a postal stamp on India\u2019s achievement in developing an indigenous covid-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stamp depicts a\u00a0health worker inoculating a senior citizen with indigenously developed vaccine \u2018Covaxin\u2019<\/strong>.\u00a0It also shows the image of COVAXIN vial. It signifies the remarkable work done by front line health care workers and scientific community across the country in protecting the people against the Covid pandemic. The postage stamp has been indigenously developed jointly by the\u00a0ICMR and Bharat Biotech.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legendary Collarwali Tigress who gave birth to 29 cubs passes away in Pench Tiger Reserve<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCollarwali\u201d, the famous tigress of Madhya Pradesh\u2019s Pench Tiger Reserve, who had earned the tag of \u201csupermom\u201d for giving birth to 29 cubs, has died. It was over 16 years old. \u2018Collarwali\u2019 tigress was known for giving birth to 29 cubs<\/strong> during her lifetime, which is believed to be a world record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official name given to the tigress by the forest department was\u00a0T-15<\/strong>\u00a0but she was fondly called \u2018Collarwali\u2019 by the native peopleShe gained Collarwali title as she became the\u00a0first tigress in the park to be fitted with a radio collar in 2008.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Madhya Pradesh also gained identity as a \u2018Tiger State\u2019 due to the significant contribution of this supermom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JIO Becomes First telecom company To Roll Out UPI AUTOPAY<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Telecom major Reliance Jio announced rolling out UPI AUTOPAY feature for both its prepaid and postpaid users in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Jio\u2019s integration with UPI AUTOPAY has made it the first player in the telecom industry<\/strong> to go live with the unique e-mandate feature that was launched by NPCI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using the UPI AutoPay launched by NPCI, customers can now enable recurring e-mandate using any UPI application for recurring payments such as mobile bills, electricity bills, EMI payments, entertainment\/OTT subscriptions, insurance, mutual funds among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MobiKwik launches \u2018ClickPay\u2019 in collaboration with NBBL for faster bill payments<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

MobiKwik, one of India\u2019s largest mobile wallets and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) Fintech companies launched \u2018ClickPay\u2019 for its customers, in collaboration with NPCI Bharat BillPay Ltd. (NBBL), the wholly-owned subsidiary of National Payments Corporation of India. This feature enables MobiKwik customers to pay recurring online bills (such as mobile, gas, water, electricity, DTH, insurance, and loan EMIs) with ease by eliminating the need to remember individual bill details and due dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ClickPay is a two-step payment feature wherein the billers generate a unique payment link within the bill-pay message, so that customers can make payments directly on the payment page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Narendra Kumar Goenka took charge as new chairman of Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) with effect from January 17, 2022.
