Established\nby the Government of Haryana, in August 2006 at Village Khanpur Kalan, District\nSonipat, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya (BPSMV), also known as\nBhagat Phool Singh Women’s University, is the first among the women\u2019s State\nuniversities in Northern India. This university came into existence as a dream\nof Bhagat Phool Singh (1885-1942) who initially started a Gurukul for girls in\nthe year 1936.  After achieving the\nstatus of a Government University, the university flourished into a modernized\nplatform of education with an overall strength of 7000 girls. Starting from\nNursery, for girl child, the university provides undergraduate, post \u2013 graduate\nand doctoral programmes in disciples such as Engineering, Law, Management,\nCommerce, Pharmacy, Rural Entrepreneurship Development, Economics, Hospitality\nand Hotel Administration, Social Work, Education, Applied Sciences, courses in\nVarious Modern Languages And Ayurveda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
