The food processing<\/strong> ministry on Monday said its flagship scheme ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada<\/strong> Yojana (PMKSY)’ has been extended till March 2026 with an allocation of Rs 4,600 crore. The ministry said PMKSY<\/strong> has been extended for a period of 2021-22 to 2025-26. The Central government has allocated Rs 4,600 crore for the scheme, the ministry tweeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scheme aims for overall growth and development of food processing sector. In May 2017, the Central Government had launched SAMPADA<\/strong> (Scheme for Agro-Marine Processing and Development of Agro-Processing Clusters) with an allocation of Rs 6,000 crore.
