An amount of \u20b91,50,000 crore was offered for investment through VRR, in three tranches so far; of which around \u20b91,49,995 crore have been availed as on February 10, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now&nbsp;<strong>RBI has increased this investment limit in VRR from Rs. 1,50,000 crore to Rs. 2,50,000 crore.<\/strong>&nbsp;The increased investment limits shall be open for allotment from April 01, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum retention period: 3 years<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investment limit available for fresh allotment shall accordingly be&nbsp;<strong>\u20b91,04,800 crore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Reserve Bank of India introduced the Voluntary Retention Route (VRR) for investments by Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) on&nbsp;March 01, 2019.
