The Adolescent Girls (AG) Scheme,\nimplemented by the Ministry of Women and Child Development under Umbrella\nIntegrated Child Development Services (ICDS), primarily aims at breaking the\ninter-generational life-cycle of nutritional and gender disadvantage and\nproviding a supportive environment for self-development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkseries.com\/blog\/current-affairs-quiz-2019-daily-gk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Daily Current Affairs Quiz 2020<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The key objective of the scheme is to facilitate, educate\nand empower AGs so as to enable them to become self-reliant and aware citizens.\nThe scheme has the following objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Enable the AGs for self-development and\nempowerment.<\/li><li>Improve their nutrition and health status.iii)\nPromote awareness about health, hygiene, nutrition<\/li><li>Support out of school AG to successfully\ntransition back to formal schooling or bridge learning \/ skill training.<\/li><li>Upgrade their home-based skills and life skills.<\/li><li>Provide information\/guidance about existing\npublic services such as Primary Health Centers, Rural Hospitals\/CHCs, Post\nOffice, Bank, Police Station, etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Government of India is implementing the \u2018Scheme for Adolescent Girls (SAG)\u2019 across the country.
