\u2705The Scheme aims to develop the personality and leadership qualities of the youth and to engage them in nation-building activities<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2705The Scheme beneficiaries are youth in the age group of 15-29 years, in line with the definition of ‘youth’ in the National Youth Policy, 2014. In the case of programme components specifically meant for adolescents, the age group is 10-19 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2705The Department of Youth Affairs has been operating a number of Schemes for the development and empowerment of youth. Restructuring of the schemes were done in 2014 in order to improve their effectiveness.
