Every year on the 1st April Utkal Divas or Odisha Foundation Day is celebrated by the people of Odisha. A special program is organized on this day. History beckons that the present-day Odisha used to form a major portion of the ancient Kalinga. Google Pay, Pine Labs tieup to offer \u2018Tap to Pay\u2019 for UPI users<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Google Pay, in collaboration with Pine Labs, on March 30 announced the launch of Tap to Pay for UPI transactions, a feature that until now was only available for debit and credit cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative has been launched in collaboration with Pine Labs.To complete a payment, All a user will need to do is tap their phone on the POS terminal and authenticate the payment from their phone, using the UPI PIN, making the process instantaneous, as compared to scanning a QR code, or entering the UPI-linked mobile number, the companies said in a joint statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The functionality will be available to any UPI user who wants to use their NFC-enabled Android smartphone to transact using any Pine Labs Android POS terminal across the country. This was piloted with Reliance Retail and will now be available at other large merchants such as Future Retail and Starbucks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft launches \u2018Startups Founders Hub\u2019 platform<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft said on Thursday that it has launched Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub in India, to empower early-stage startup founders in India with over $300,000 worth of benefits and credits, including free access to the technology, tools, and resources from the tech giant and partners. The initiative will help the Startups to gain mentorship and skilling opportunities with industry experts and Microsoft Learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
