National Maritime Day 2020

National Maritime Day in India is observed on 5 April every year. First time it was celebrated on 5 April, 1964. The day creates awareness to support intercontinental commerce and the global economy as the most well-organized, safe and sound, environmentally responsive approach of transporting goods from one place to another of the world.

The theme also showcase the work that the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and its Member States are taking various measures to achieve the targets.
