Government of Chhattisgarh has launched Shaheed Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Sangrahak Samajik Suraksha Yojana under which the government will provide assistance of up to Rs 4 lakh to the tendu patta collectors.

If the head of the tendu leaf collector family dies due to some reason, then the Government of Chhattisgarh will provide assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the nominee under this scheme.
The Chhattisgarh Tendupatta Collectors Social Security Scheme will be operated by the State Small Forest Produce Cooperative Union.
Assistance under the scheme will be deposited directly into the bank account of the nominee. This amount will be transferred within one month of death.
The main objective of the Shaheed Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Collectors Social Security Scheme is to provide social and economic security to Tendupatta workers.
