[A] They are appointed by the President of India
[B] The Committee comprising of the Prime Minister, leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and a Union Cabinet Minister nominated by the Prime Minister recommends their names for appointment
[C] They can be removed from the office on the like manner as that of the Comptroller and Auditor General
[D] They hold office for a term of 5 years or upto the age of 65 years whichever is earlier
