Along with global outreach, the IDY will focus on taking Yoga to each and every village in India through the active participation of Gram Panchayat/Gram Sabhas.

Exercise La Perouse- 2023: The Indian Ocean Area will host the third edition of the multilateral exercise La Perouse on March 13 and 14, 2023. This event will be attended by representatives from the Royal Australian Navy, the French Navy, the Indian Navy, the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force, the Royal Navy, and the United States Navy. Every two years exercise La Perouse, an exercise run by the French Navy, aims to improve maritime domain awareness and maritime cooperation among the participating navies in the Indo-Pacific region.

The real cause of Silicon Valley Bank Collapse:
The genesis of SVB’s collapse lies in a rising interest rate environment. As higher interest rates caused the market for initial public offerings to shut down for many startups and made private fundraising more costly, some large clients pulled money from the bank and it was forced to sell some of the distressed securities in order to provide the cash.
The bank’s vulnerable balance sheet scared other major depositors, who withdrew their funds, sparking a bank run that gained momentum quickly because the bank relied on a relatively small number of large depositors. It collapsed within days.
To fund the redemptions, SVB sold a $21 billion bond portfolio consisting mostly of U.S. Treasuries, and said it would sell $2.25 billion in common equity and preferred convertible stock to fill its funding hole.
The collapsing stock price had made its capital raise untenable and sources said the bank tried to look at other options, including a sale, until regulators stepped in and shut the bank down.

Mohanty, who is currently the managing director and CEO of LIC Housing Finance, will take over as managing director and CEO of the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) on February 1st, 2021. Up to his retirement on June 30, 2023, Siddhartha Mohanty was proposed to lead LIC as its MD. Bishnu Charan Patnaik, Ipe Mini, Siddhartha Mohanty, and Raj Kumar are the current LIC MDs, and Shri Mangalam Ramasubramanian Kumar is the company’s chairman.

Blue Economy is the Sustainable use of ocean resources for economic growth, improved livelihoods, and jobs while preserving the health of our ecosystem. Responsible AI is a governance framework aimed at what data can be collected and used, how AI models should be evaluated, and how to best deploy and monitor models. The framework can also define who is accountable for any negative outcomes of AI.
SAI20 meeting was chaired by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, Girish Chandra Murmu.
In line with this, during the course of SOM in Guwahati, SAI India shall present and introduce the concept themes of Blue Economy and Responsible AI. There shall be further sharing of experiences by the participant SAIs including member SAIs and guest SAIs of G20.
The SAI20 Engagement Group of G20 was established in 2022 during Indonesia’s Presidency of the G20 to enhance economic governance through collaborative oversight. This engagement group aspires to support SAIs members to be future-ready in the face of rapid changes in the audit environment through policy dialogue and identification of best practices in the public sector audit ecosystem.
