The process for GI certification ofKathiya Gehuwas initiated by theKhatiya Wheat Bangra Producer Company Limited, a localFarmer Producer Organization (FPO), with support from entities likeNABARDin January 2022. After atwo-year journey, the GI tag, bearing certificate number585, was officially awarded onMarch 30, 2024.
