The Sri Sri Damodardev International Auditorium will be formally opened to the public on January 27, adding a major cultural facility to Assam. The newly built 800-seat auditorium is located within the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra campus and is expected to strengthen platforms for performing arts and cultural events.
The facility was constructed at a cost exceeding ₹52 crore, reflecting the government’s investment in enhancing cultural venues. It features state-of-the-art infrastructure, including advanced acoustics, world-class stage facilities, and modern amenities designed to host diverse events with high production quality.
The Srimanta Sankaradeva kalakshetra (SSK) has an International Convention Centre namely Srimanta Sankaradeva International Convention Centre. This International Convention Centre was proposed to have three auditoriums of 300, 800 and 1250 capacity, out of which the 300 and 1250 capacity auditoriums have already been completed.
