Airways – Lifelines of National Economy

Airways has become the fastest, most comfortable and prestigious mode of travel in the world. It can be used to travel to inaccessible areas like high mountains, dense forests, long oceans and lush deserts. The passenger gets a broad view of his surroundings when he travels in air.

The Air Corporations Act, 1953, nationalised all air transports and provided for the establishment of Air Corporations to facilitate the acquisition of existing airline companies and to make better provisions for the operations of air transport services in the country.

Pawanhans Helicopters Ltd. provides helicopter services to Oil and Natural Gas Corporation in its off-shore operations, to inaccessible areas and difficult terrains. But, air travel is not within the reach of the common people.
