Amazon and Gujarat Govt signed an MoU to boost e-commerce exports: On August 8th, 2023, Amazon India signed an MoU with the Department of Industries and Mines, Government of Gujarat, aimed at boosting e-commerce exports from the state of Gujarat. The deal will create and promote training, and capacity-building workshops for exporters from major MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) organizations such as Surat, Baruch, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Rajkot.

Under the agreement, Amazon India will focus on bringing weavers, artisans and other micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Gujarat on Amazon Global Selling, the e-commerce exports programme.
Amazon and EDII will conduct hybrid (in-person and online) training sessions and workshops on B2C e-commerce exports, educating the artisans on registering and listing their products to sell on more than 18 Amazon Global Marketplaces and tools for making exports easier.
