In India, theAntyodaya Diwasis observed every year onSeptember 25, to mark the birth anniversary ofPandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. The day was declared by theModi GovernmentonSeptember 25, 2014.Antyodaya means uplifting the poorest of the poor. Antyodaya means“upliftingthe poorest of the poor”or“rise of the last person”. Through Antyodaya Diwas, the government wants to carry forward the message of Upadhyaya who visualized the uplift of the poorest of the poor in the country.
