Anup Bagchi to head ICICI Prudential Life from June 2023: ICICI Bank’s executive director Anup Bagchi is set to take over as the CEO of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance on June 19, subject to regulatory and statutory approvals.
ICICI Prudential Life made this announcement in an exchange filing, stating that the current CEO, NS Kannan, will retire on June 18.

Bagchi, who has been with the group since 1992, has been executive director of ICICI Bank since February 1, 2017, heading the wholesale banking business of the bank. After taking over the reins from Kannan, he is expected to focus on growth in annualised premium equivalent (APE), which has been a significant challenge for his predecessor. He worked as the Non-Executive Director of ICICI Prudential Life since October 2018.
