The Publication Board Assam has announced the “Yuva Lekhak Sanman” in conjunction with the Book Year 2025 events to recognize and encourage young literary talent of the state. The award is open to any writer under 40, and the winner will receive a monetary award of ₹25,000. It is hoped the award will encourage young writers involved in the work of establishing emerging voices in Assamese literature and help support the state’s cultural and intellectual heritage. The effort is one part of a year-long series of events for Book Year 2025, indicating the government’s commitment to supporting literature, creativity, and readership in Assam.
