The Election Commission of India (ECI) has introduced three key reforms—electronic access to death registration data, revamped voter information slips (VIS), and standard photo identity cards for Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
These initiatives, guided by CEC Gyanesh Kumar, aim to boost electoral roll accuracy, improve voter communication, and enhance field-level transparency.
The integration with the Registrar General of India, compliance with electoral laws, and improved BLO visibility collectively strengthen the voter-centric approach of India’s democratic process.
