Emma Raducanu of Great Britain wins US Open 2021 Women’s Singles Tennis Title

Raducanu was already the first player in the professional era, dating to 1968, to come through the qualifying rounds to reach the final of a major tournament. The 18-year-old from Britain then won it, becoming the youngest Grand Slam champion since 17-year-old Maria Sharapova at Wimbledon in 2004.

US Open 2021 Women’s Final, Emma Raducanu vs Leylah Fernandez: The tennis player of Great Britain Emma Raducanu has won the 2021 US Open women’s singles final title. In the final, Emma defeated Canada’s Leylah Annie Fernandez by 6-4, 6-3. The final match was held at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, New York USA on September 12th, 2021.

This is the maiden Grand Slam title for world number 150 Raducanu.With this win, the 18-year-old Raducanu has become the first-ever qualifier to capture the Grand slam and the first British woman since 1977 to win the crown.
